How Faith Changed the Way I Chase My Goals

There's a misconception that faith means sitting back and waiting for life to happen.
I don't believe that.
To me, faith isn't passive.
It's active.
It's praying before the decision.
It's getting quiet long enough to hear your own intuition.
It's trusting God enough to take the first step, even when you can't see the entire staircase.
I still believe in dreaming big.
I still believe in setting goals that stretch me.
And I absolutely believe in taking massive action.
That hasn't changed.
What has changed is why I move.
There was a time when I was driven by pressure.
Pressure to prove myself.
Pressure to get there faster.
Pressure to make every decision perfectly.
Now, I move from a different place.
I move from alignment.
Before I chase a goal, I ask myself a few questions:
Does this align with my values?
Does this bring me closer to the life I'm trying to build?
Am I making this decision from faith... or from fear?
The answers aren't always obvious.
That's why I've learned to pause before I move but I don't pause forever.
I pray.
I reflect.
I meditate.
Then I decide.
And once I decide, I move.
I don't believe clarity always comes before action.
Sometimes clarity comes because of action.
Some of the biggest opportunities in my life didn't come from having every detail figured out. They came from being willing to trust the direction I felt called toward and taking the next step anyway.
If I make a mistake, I learn.
If a door closes, I pivot.
If the plan changes, I adjust.
I'd rather move forward, learn, and grow than spend years waiting for perfect certainty.
For me, faith isn't about expecting things to fall into my lap.
It's about believing that God has given us gifts, wisdom, discernment, and opportunities and trusting Him enough to use them.
I don't think faith replaces hard work.
I think it gives hard work purpose.
It reminds me that success isn't just about what I accomplish.
It's about who I become while I'm pursuing it.
So if you're chasing a dream right now, don't wait until you feel fearless.
Fear doesn't always disappear before you begin.
Pray.
Get aligned.
Trust yourself.
Trust God.
Then take the next step.
And after that...
Take another.
You don't have to know exactly how everything will unfold.
You just have to be willing to begin.
Because sometimes the greatest act of faith isn't waiting.
Sometimes it's moving forward with confidence, knowing that if you stay aligned, you'll find your way.
Stay aligned. Stay grounded. Keep becoming.
With Love,
Erlinda
